Everything is Over-priced! 😣

Ever been looking for that perfect accent table to complete the look of your space? The problem is you find the perfect style and color for the look you're going for but then you look at the price. $599 for a coffee table? I don't think so. The issue nowadays is inflation. The price of living has gone up and so have consumer goods. So that living room refresh you were looking to do has been put on hold... but maybe it doesn't have to.

I'm going to show you a design hack that could help you get the style you're looking for with a better price tag. This hack is using Google Lens, mobile or desktop. And this applies to almost anything from clothes to shoes to furniture to jewelry. It's also a tool anyone in the world with access to Google Lens can use as well. We don't discriminate here!

1. Take a Picture of the Item

I've been looking for rattan storage cabinets. I have found that storage cabinets prices can range from $400 - $2000+. Typically, you're paying for brand name. And this one I found on Wayfair for $551.97. That's entirely too much money!

2. Search Picture with Google Lens

If your device has Google Lens, use this to search the item you want. Simply click the camera icon and upload the picture you just screenshot on your device. Google Lens will pull items similar to, or the same item, and show different prices listed for them. It's a useful tool especially if you find an item, say on Pinterest, for example, and don't know where the purchase the item. Google Lens can show you different sites for where to purchase these items.

Caution: Not all the websites listed from the Google Lens search are reputable. So always be sure you're using a trustworthy website that is well-known.

3. Select the price you want

I found the same rattan storage cabinet on
Walmart.com for $227. Now that's a steal!
